Congratulations to our Girl's Track team for taking 2nd place at State and to our boys team for taking 7th! 31 athletes qualified, 16 made podium, 3 State champions, 1 State record broken, many school records and many more PR’s. Amazing Student-Athletes on and off the track.
1st Place: Kambri Muir in the 100 hurdles, 300 hurdles (broke the state record), Girls 4x100 (Kylie Mead, Megan Lyman, Brie Warcup, Kambri Muir)
2nd place: Ben Staheli in Long Jump
3rd: Nate Call in Pole Vault, Brie Warcup in the Long Jump, Girls 4x800 (Eira Groberg, Haley Livingston, Piper McDaniel, Oaklee Jensen)
4th Place: Megan Lyman in the Long Jump, Peyton Haskell in the 100, Boys 4x100 (Joe Hughes, Ethan Douglas, Ben Staheli, Peyton Haskell) Haley Livingston in the 3200

IN FRIDAY'S MATCH AGAINST PROVO, WE WERE DOWN TWO SETS TO ONE AND NEEDED A SPARK. TANNER DELIVERED.
HE WENT ON AN INCREDIBLE RUN, MAKING KEY PLAYS ACROSS THE BOARD WITH KILLS, BLOCKS, AND DIGS THAT SHIFTED THE MOMENTUM OF THE MATCH. HIS ENERGY AND DETERMINATION LIFTED THE ENTIRE TEAM AND HELPED PROPEL US TO A FIVE-SET VICTORY.

GIDEON, OUR RETURNING CENTER BACK, HAS STRENGTHENED THE DEFENSE THIS SEASON. HE PLAYED A KEY ROLE IN SHUTOUT WINS OVER WASATCH (4-0) AND TIMPVIEW 2-

Tyler has been part of tech theatre for 3 years, but has really come into his own this year. Whether it's working behind the scenes on theatre productions or running tech for other arts events Tyler always delivers a polished product while being friendly and professional. ~Mr. Trotter

PLAYED VARSITY ON HIS 1ST MEET. IN ST GEORGE TOURNAMENT HE WENT UNDEFEATED (5-0) AND WON THE 3RD SINGLES TOURNAMENT. HE DISPLAYED TREMENDOUS SPIRIT AND CONFIDENCE AND SHOWED HOW MUCH HARD WORK HE PUT IN DURING THE OFF SEASON TO BE ABLE TO COME PLAY AT A HIGHER VARSITY LEVEL OF PLAY.
GIRLS LAX- PAYTON HILL
PAYTON HAD 2 GOALS AND 1 ASSIST IN AN 18-3 WIN OVER SPRINGVILLE AND 3 GOALS, INCLUDING THE WALK OFF GAME WINNER, OVER HERRIMAN IN A 12-11 OT WIN.

ANGEL HAS BEEN OUR ENGINE SO FAR THIS SEASON. HIS DEFENSIVE WORK RATE HAS BEEN EXCELLENT AND HIS WORK IN THE MIDFIELD HAS CREATED MANY OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUR TEAM.WITH A GOAL AND AN ASSIST THIS WEEK, HE HAS HELPED SET A MARK FOR THE KIND OF EFFORT WE ALL HOPE FOR ON THE FIELD.

Brad Fillmore: My name is Brad Fillmore. I am an English teacher at SHHS. Before coming to Salem Hills, I taught at Spanish Fork High School. My favorite food is Asian or Mexican! My favorite color is green. My favorite hobbies are reading, writing in my blog, and going to the gym. My favorite sports are golf, pickleball, and hiking! My favorite holiday is Halloween--I love the fall and its relatively stress free. My favorite music is anything by the great songwriters like Billy Joel, Paul Simon, & James Taylor to name a few. I've been married for 26 years. My wife also works for Nebo as an elementary dance specialist. I have 4 kids, 3 of whom have graduated from Salem Hills. My youngest is a sophomore. In addition to teaching English, I run a creative writing workshop twice a year at BYU with Kyle Minson called Young Author's Academy. I have published both short fiction and poetry and have a blog in which I discuss life, literature, and share my own creative writing. You can find it at mysongofmyself.blog.

My name is Brad Shuler. I am a Science teacher at SHHS. Before coming to Salem Hills, I taught at American Fork High School then Lone Peak High School. My favorite food is Italian pasta. My favorite color is blue. My favorite hobby is fishing. My favorite sport is basketball. My favorite holiday is Christmas. My favorite music artist is Andre Bocelli. I met my wife when we were both working at Little Caesars in Spanish Fork as assistant managers. We have five kids and seven grandkids with one more on the way. I have lived in Elk Ridge my whole life. When I was a kid, Elk Ridge was our family's farm called the Goosenest Ranch.
