Students took their artistic talents outdoors this week, putting their creative skills to the test in an exciting project centered around graffiti and street art.
Throughout the unit, students explored the distinct line between illegal graffiti and authorized street art, focusing on how professional artists receive commissions to create public masterpieces legally. To prepare for their final installation, the young artists practiced writing positive words and personalized name designs, mastering the art of layering colors to give their work depth and style.
Before heading outside, students precision-cut custom stencils to ensure their spray paint elements were clean and sharp. Once armed with their tools and designs, the group transformed outdoor spaces into a vibrant showcase of community positivity and hands-on talent.
